The Collapse of Our Civilization
I was unsure of the title for this piece. What-cha-ma-call-it is too vague, and Business as Usual is non-descriptive but true, and I can’t believe what I’m seeing is threadbare and worn out. Truth be told, this is not only a title, but a synopsis of the article, which is what a title should be. Congressional hearings are like a train wreck, a structure fire, an automobile accident, or a dumpster fire; something compels you to stop, to look, and to watch; you can’t seem to turn away. That’s how I feel about the direction we’re headed after watching these pointless congressional hearings. In my last article, I called them “The Real Housewives of Congress.” I want to update that moniker to “The Real Assholes of Congress”, and their co-conspirators in the Corporate Media Complex upped their ante with newer levels of deceit with their accusations of disloyalty in the Trump cabinet by misquoting comments from Tulsi Gabbard, after resurrecting a 90-day old briefing, using it in current Israel conflict as its contexts. It’s unbelievable even by their nonexistent standards and simply more proof that there’s a movement in the United States to sabotage this republic. These meetings and briefings are the fodder used by the Corporate Media Complex to stoke their disinformation and misinformation machine in support of the Marxists in Congress, the opposite of progress.
These Congressional Investigations or Hearings, Cluster Fucks (CF or “Charlie Foxtrot”), are advertised as sessions on a subject, but the only semblance to the touted topic is the signage in the room. They devolve into adolescent name-calling, innuendo, veiled accusations, and lethal slander, but are little more than a forum for feuding, quarrels, and bombast. I question the appropriateness or the value to the republic as a whole.
If this is governing, we’ve missed the mark by a mile. Yet, sadly, this is what we have.
History chronicles an interpretive perspective of events from the victor’s or some academic’s point of view. Looking at things as we experience them is far different than the writers’ sanitized versions. Even then, they are subject to our mindset and how we choose to interpret the event and its contexts. When you consume the news, that is to watch, read, or listen, you receive someone else’s interpretation and perspective of the events. Are these representations of events the truth; do they represent reality? You see, that’s the problem with perspectives and interpretations from the Corporate Media Complex.
Both are heavily influenced by perspective and opinion. While facts may be objective, how we understand and explain those facts is shaped by our viewpoints, experiences, beliefs, and motives. Our perspective acts as a lens through which we process information, leading to varied interpretations that are guided by our intentions. Ask two people to describe any event, and you’ll appreciate my point. Even though you both saw the same event as it happened, your perspectives are often quite different, which explains why law enforcement likes more than one witness to any event. We can certainly continue down this path to Gehenna, abandoning any hope that we can right this capsized ship of state by maturing and recognizing that we have ignored our responsibility to God and Country. We must return to the fundamentals — the basics, the intent of the US Constitution — and repair the processes used to manage this Republic. Which path will we follow? I have my suspicions, but I’ll save that for the end of this article. Sadly, it wasn’t the US Constitution that caused the issue; it was those who used it for surreptitious purposes. It’s we who need to change, not the document; Q.E.D.
AI tells me that the indicators of societal collapse are:
I want to concentrate on the last two on the list: moral decay and the erosion of trust, because I see them as contributing to each other in many ways. Moral Decay:This refers to a decline in the ethical standards of a person, group, or society. It encompasses behaviors and attitudes that are considered unethical, corrupt, or harmful to the well-being of others. Factors such as inadequate education, media influence, poor parenting, social injustice, and materialism are often cited as contributing to moral decay, indicating a decline in the accepted ethical principles and moral conduct within society. The move toward an amoral society where there is no right or wrong, only what’s convenient, is where we are today. This is what’s leading to the lack of trust in American society.
finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.” ~ Groucho Marx Do any events of the past few years come to mind? I’m sure if you thought about it, you could recall a few. That’s not the point. We must recognize our decline is slow and steady, so slow that we don’t notice the change. This is further complicated when the CMC confuses the issues by adding their points of view as fact, supporting the Marxist agenda. Remember that the ‘Ends Justify the Means…’ Additionally, the advancements in our society are gradual as well. There are no monumental advances anymore; they are more incremental. I received a CMC message this morning stating that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has a net worth of over $9.6 million. I fact-checked this claim and discovered that her political campaign has that much, but her net worth is closer to $24.5 thousand. Why would they publish claims like this? Doesn’t this disinformation mislead people? But can you tarnish an already tarnished reputation, or is that just polishing the turd? America was founded on a set of principles defined in the United States Constitution. Every time someone dismisses, side steps, or dodges one of these principles, it erodes the moral foundation of the Republic and diminishes our trust in the system. Every time some criminal is freed from prosecution on a technicality, it adversely affects our confidence in the system. Are these crafty criminal counselors helping their clients or cheating the republic? AI tells me that the Rule of Law requires Non-arbitrary Legislation and Regulations: The concept of the rule of law requires them to be applied predictably and uniformly, not arbitrarily. While this implies consistency, it doesn’t mean laws can’t have limitations or exceptions. While the rule of law emphasizes fairness and consistency, the evolving nature of society and the practical need for exceptions or adaptations mean that laws are generally not intended to be absolute. This implies that right and wrong are no longer absolute, but rather subject to perspective and varying points of view of the one hearing the case, the judge. Is a judge with a political perspective, point of view, impartial? Laws, such as those against shoplifting and theft, have been liberally modified, placing limits on the amount that can be stolen. While this may seem fair to some, there are adverse effects on the community at large. Several of the hardest-hit retailers were forced to close stores in specific communities to mitigate the impact, resulting in retail deserts in low-income neighborhoods where the theft was most prevalent. The effects on law-abiding communities were to have products locked away, requiring the assistance of the ‘keeper of the keys’ to retrieve the item. Is this Merkan efficiency or the result of a really stupid Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) framework to rectify imaginary systemic marginalizing barriers?
Recall that there are over 300,000 ways to do time for Federal crimes; this does not include the thousands of statutes at the state and local levels. Constitutional principles are intentionally and inextricably intertwined. The 55 delegates who wrote it and the 39 signers of this magnificent document wanted to provide a guide that would endure for centuries. They intended that those who answered the call to serve in government were sober and ethical people of exceptional character. They didn’t expect the citizens of this republic to elect narcissistic criminals to represent them. But… Here we are, being led by self-serving egotists bent on self-interest, and whose seductress and siren is called POWER! According to AI, 84.6% of Americans hold a driver’s license.
These figures indicate that a majority of drivers do not abide by the law; but we knew that from practical experience. I’m sure you’ve noticed that driving an automobile has transmuted from a pleasure to a competition and a major pain in the ass. The space in front of you is an invitation for the NAS-hole – an amalgam of NASCAR and Asshole, a wannabe race-car-driver – who sees that space, as a challenge rather than a safety distance. The NAS-hole will weave and bob through traffic to gain a single car-length, only to be at the stoplight in the space next to you. The general attitude is ‘why bother’ and ‘if the government or law enforcement doesn’t care, why should we?’ It’s not just the local administration that turns a blind eye. Our federal government follows suit as well. Several people from Congress, the opposite of progress, tried to force their way into the ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, to supposedly ‘inspect the facility for human rights violations.’ It was simply a way to grab the news-cycle. Congress’s attitude is that they are above the law and can do as they please because they are elected officials. They are above the law because they represent Congress, the opposite of progress. This may sound presumptuous, but I expect the people representing me to be like me, not better than me. If they can do it… Why can’t I? Erosion of Trust:The impact of this breakdown in the law, as supported by the various administrations, erodes the people’s trust in the government. The hypocrisy of these leaders, those whom we place in administrative positions, are our examples to follow. We look to them for guidance and direction. This presupposes that we select sober and ethical people of exceptional character, yet those we elect to these positions are the antithesis of this supposition. The conundrum is which example to follow, the one we imagine was intended or the one exhibited? Most individuals can exhibit both leadership and followership qualities depending on the situation. There isn’t a clear-cut majority in either category, as both roles are essential for society to function effectively. It depends on the problem; however, it’s most common for people to be followers. Leadership requires significant effort, energy, and willingness to take responsibility and accountability for decisions. Humans tend to be followers to avoid accountability and responsibility.
You’ve heard the excuses, and since we feel absolved by the rationale de jure, we proceed, assured that nothing can touch us. That is the beauty of rationalization… AND… since everyone else is doing it, whatever it is, we feel protected by the herd. Sadly, this is the precise reason we, Merka, are in the condition we’re in. We follow blindly, never stopping to consider the validity or veracity of the example. People followed Mahatma Gandhi to a peaceful overthrow of British Colonial rule in India, and an entire nation followed Hitler into WWII and utter defeat at the hands of the Allies. Gandhi proved that passive resistance is a powerful tool to effect change. A nation followed Hitler through the murder of millions of “Undesirable” elements in Germany as he rationalized it as “For the good of the Fatherland and the Aryan Race.” The damage done to Merkan’s trust in the system is a direct effect of the divisiveness in this republic. We win when we fight for this republic, so the converse must therefore be true. If we continue this detrimental and ruinous bickering and partisan political bullshit, America will fall. Mathew 12:25 tells us: “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Suppose our examples are the people in Congress, the opposite of progress, and our government throughout this country. In that case, we must make a serious examination of our personal political and principled positions where this republic is concerned. OR… we can continue to follow the leadership to Gehenna. The choice is totally and unequivocally ours, but we, and we alone, are accountable and responsible for that choice. The herd mentality and protection we believe in so vigorously and in which we find such comfort will not protect us. We own this one… So, choose wisely…
I can go on and on with multiple quotes from ancient history and past American leaders, but I’ll spare you that litany. What’s critical is that this dissent and division undermine and erode the trust we as citizens have in our government. The disunity in our leadership creates confusion about who and what to believe. Guess what, kids… that’s the point of all of this. As long as we’re fighting each other, unsure of leadership’s motives, and concerned about their priorities, we – AMERICA – are vulnerable to attacks from without and from within. Merkan’s lack of personal accountability and responsibility will be our downfall. For the Amalgamated Heavy Charles R Dickens
